Life long learning

At St. Andrews we are committed to Life-Long Learning…

  • Everyone is a learner
  • Learning is an ongoing process
  • Learning does not only happen in school

Our staff are going to master a new skill each half term – working towards a common goal or project that we will share with the children.

This will show what it means to be a life-long learner - that learning is not just for tests and exams.  It will remind us that learning is fun but can be challenging and frustrating - learning a skill takes time & practise, we will not be masters overnight… we need to support each other, persevere and make an effort to master a skill…

This term we are learning embroidery….
We are each embroidering a small panel that will illustrate the vision and values of our school that we will be able to display in the foyer.

If you would like to join in with our project or would just like to have a go, just ask any member of staff to fill you in and we will share the materials with you and show you the ropes (or should that be threads?).
